The Root guild is accepting of people of different kinds and mindsets. And it is important to get a long! The following I believe to be a very simple standard.
Please Treat people the way you want to be treated. Be understanding. - People come from different backgrounds, and have different ways of internalizing, and externalizing social interaction. Its important to understand there is ways to interact with particular people. In other words, be considerate. - Please Avoid hateful language - e.g. Racist, Homophobic, Sexist, Identity, based discrimination.
Be accountable for offensive jokes you make. - To expand on this, saying "Politically Incorrect" things can be very controversial. Some people feel censored when they cant make them. But they arnt entirely necessary jokes, and being accountable when someone gets offended by them is important. Because these jokes are unnecessary. Interacting with a group regularly and making these jokes will promote hostility and make an uncomfortable environment, potentially, for you and everyone else. Try to be subtle or not make jokes that are Racist, Homophobic, or Sexist. If you wanna test your boundaries and attempt to make it. Go ahead, but understand people may not like them, theyre negative assertions, and you ask for an earful from people really bothered by it. It makes sense if the jokes are excessive. - Be cautious though because some people when "having gamer frustration" can say things they dont really mean. Thats on the extreme side.
Lying, Cheating, and Stealing will only put you in a bad position. Dont do it. - Scaming members, your friends, will result in a kick. The guild is like a family made up of friends.
Communication is good. If you have a problem, talk to a leader. - Leader will discuss the issues. and Attempt to handle it.
Do not excessively beg. Ask.
Long amount of in-game inactivity will get you the boot unless you give an excuse! Currently, 30 days of Inactivity will cause you to be kicked, shouldnt really be a problem. Even so, youre welcomed back in open arms if you become active again!
Though, I would like to offer a lot of leeway, I do encourage people to try to be the best they can at the classes they play. Regardless of skill level. Try to treat each other positive, and be constructive. I find most of the time when someone give their perspective on a class, hopefully a class theyre experienced in, they arnt trying to talk down on you. But wanna be helpful.
Speech that treads on what is known to be, sincere "Lethal Advocacy" will recieve a warning. If suggestion made that is was a joke. Individual that the language was directed will be consulted for their perspective. Further disrespect will receive a kick.
